I have had a life-long love of horses and of art; and I’m so pleased to have been able to merge my two favorite interests into my profession. Ever since I was six years old, I have had Breyer horses, my first was a Palomino Family Arabian Stallion.
While finishing graduate school and working in the corporate and government sectors, I enjoyed training in dressage with my horses Kiev, Sir Percival, and then Kentauros aka “Raleigh”. Sadly, this left me very little time for any artistic pursuits. Once Raleigh and I retired to from training and competition, I started painting horse miniatures for myself for fun: repaints, customizing, then showing. I was able to take my work to a full-time job within a few years. My art training has basically been self-taught as an adult, a fun journey of trial and error. Continual pursuit of mastery of detail and realism is what drives me to continually improve.
I enjoy spending time with my family and pets, drawing, reading, and horticulture.
